WHAT IS THE PUA COUNCIL?

PURPOSE:

Facilitate existing and future partnerships with Palms Up AcademY,
Protect the morale and supportive environment of the community,
AND Uphold the mission of Palms Up Academy.

ACTIVATIONS:

EXTERNAL

PARTNERSHIPS

• Minimum of 3 Weeks of Notice - Includes:

  • Rental of A/V equipment and personnel (based on availability)

  • Branded sponsorship of public events

  • Integration of intellectual property from the community within Palms Up Academy branded productions, live or pre-recorded (i.e. PUA films, music videos, stage plays).  

• Should include fair exchange model

  • “Fair Exchange” being defined as: equivalent trade-off either in monetary terms or media mileage i.e. promotion, branding, creation of promotional materials (print or digital)

INTERNAL

UPHOLDING COMMUNITY

Being that our community is intersectional, we recognize that disagreements can arise.  Relationships built within our space should be additive and not reductive.  We want to foster collaborations within our creative space both professionally and personally.  We also acknowledge that certain issues between individuals do not include the whole of the community, and for those situations, the Council will refrain from overstepping or involvement.  The number one thing we uphold in a space as public as ours is safety.  If an issue that occurs within the community threatens that safety, the Council will review circumstances surrounding the situation with resolutions being dealt with internally.
