JA-RA WOOD - CIRCLES
I am so glad I took Palms Up Academy’s CIRCLES. It has benefitted me in ways that will change my entire future as an artist: in order to enroll in the Theatre department at the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts (LACHSA), I had to perform two monologues in front of a judge.
I was scared and hadn’t done anything like that before, so I decided to join CIRCLES to prepare. It was an amazing experience - everyone in my circle was so nice and attentive; they all helped me develop my pieces and get more into my characters. After two months of preparation, I finally performed my monologues over Zoom for the audition.
And I got in!

Palms Up Academy is fertile soil for young artists and creatives. Lady B is one of the kindest but highest level artist mentors working in and around the community, and under her direction and guidance I've seen my own performance, writing, and professionalism level up.
MADIMA - CHORDS
CHORDS was exactly what I needed as an independent artist coming into LA. Not only did I learn a great deal about music composition and production, but I got better insight on how to make worthwhile investments into my art and myself. Fuzzzy taught me how to approach my music as a creative and a business woman; and most importantly, he and Lady B helped me finally advocate for myself as a musician.
I can confidently say that I am a working musician, a master of my craft, and an artist worth watching ~
